What an asset to nottingham! i spotted the park as i was on the tram journey from toton park and ride into nottingham on saturday. as it was such a lovely day i decided to pick up lunch in town then got off at the park and walked the full length of it, stopping half way round to eat lunch. there’s a great children’s area and icecream van at one end and then much quieter as you walk on. there are lots of seats and litter bins along the route so plenty of opportunity to sit and take in the beautiful scenery, plus lots of cheeky squirrels and birds to eat up any crumbs. i don’t know if there is a designated picnic area. it’s very impressive with something for everyone and great for dog walkers, families etc i had limited time so had no opportunity to explore further into the park but will definitely visit again if i have the opportunity.
Beautiful place to visit with your family or loved ones. nice play area for kids, beautiful scenery, nice lake, very friendly ducks, geese, flamingos, they literally will come to meet you. art gallery is also interesting and even kids friendly. the cafe joint is good. a visit during the spring time is highly recommended as there are lots of flowers and lot's of activities like boat ride etc.
Used to visit here on a regular basis, however this was my first visit for over 6 months. thoroughly enjoyed walking round the lake on a sunny evening and was impressed how tidy and well kept the park was. rowing boats available for rent, as well as mini golf and football golf. good for families, with large grass areas for picnics and a regular ice cream van parked up. there is also a small coffee shop in the lakeside art centre.
Lovely place to visit either for a quiet walk around the lake,or something more adventurous like crazy golf,or boating on the lake itself. you can have a lovely coffee and cake in the cafe or picnic on the grass. as well as looking at the exhibitions on show in the lakeside building.
Great place to come to do multiple activities. the price was reasonable too. we did mini golf and the took a rowing boat out on the water. overall great fun.
