The city of caves is a extremely fascinating place to visit. a little difficult to find to be honest but we'll worth the effort. our guide andy was very knowledgeable and humorous. i'd recommend sensible footwear when visiting and it might be a challenge if you have mobility issues. only criticism the tour wasn't that long in my opinion but, still a great place to visit. definitely recommend.
Amazing tour, went there with my fiancé mid week, we only had to wait 5mins for the next tour to start. lovely lady at the reception, great customer service. andy was our guide, very knowledgeable and full of humour, absolutely loved every single bit of it. consider wearing a jacket of some sort as it can be a bit chilly down there 🙂
We went as a couple. having lived in nottinghamshire for 17 years i’m ashamed to say i’ve never been. it was brilliant. we did the guided tour with jessie, who was very passionate & engaging. loved it and learnt loads. thank you
Big shout out for gareth, nordic warrior meets giant hobbit. his knowledge and enthusiasm given, on this city of caves tour just makes it come to life. tour lasts about 45mins, sturdy footwear and the ability to bend down will help. explore the labyrinth of underground caves, there historic value to the city of nottingham. good value for money, book on line, you can chose a time slot. combine it with the national justice museum for a discounted price. not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, and no toilets at this sight. 10 minute walk from broadmarsh bus station and car park.
I ended up enjoying this tour a lot more than expected. our tour guide was great! didn't feel like a dull boring tour full of information about the caves. the price is fair for what it is. i highly recommend doing this tour if you're in town.
