The Cod’s Scallops

One of the best fish and chips in the UK. The portions aren’t that large but the ingredients were clearly high quality. Fish was so fresh and tender. Chips were buttery, flavoursome, crispy. I like that fish and chips comes with tartare sauce and lemon wedge.

Absolutely loved the food! Staff were friendly! Reasonably priced too! Win win! Worth a visit!

Fish was really tasty and very filling. Excellent menu with a range of items to choose from including drinks. The restaurants own 'Scale Ale' was a great along side the fish. It was not busy when we went with plenty of tables. Staff serving were very friendly and attentive, checking back that everything was OK after receiving the food. Good attention to detail with restaurant theme from lobster pot lights to octopus wine bucket. Just adds to the experience of eating there. Just been for another excellent meal there.

Hands down THE BEST fish and chip shop i think ive ever been to. Insanely good! Had scallops and oysters. Spot on! Especially the scallops. Not overcooked at all like a lot of places. Also had hot sticky toffee pudding. Totally recommend.

We sometimes come here if we fancy 'posh' fish and chips. It's more expensive than other fish and chips places but the fish is lovely here. It's nice to eat in and not have the washing up. An alternative to chips is also available, which I really like. I had the Asian salad which was delicious and went surprisingly well with cod. Batter was crispy and edible but rather too poly, otherwise top nosh.
