Besom Hill Country Park

Fantastic place. Not overran with people and plenty of paths. Managed to go fossil hunting and after plenty of searching (difficult going on the loose shale) actually found some! Climbing up to the top of the hill gives great views and is well worth the effort. Great spot for a walk and some amateur paleontology!

Oldham might not have a reputation that makes you want to visit this town but you cannot deny the beauty spots and views over all Greater Manchester! Glad this place is hardly busy but you might need some wellies.
