I visited on a sunday and it was a nice art gallery. the entrance hall was beautifully designed. i didn’t think much of the exhibition itself, yet the museum looked well looked after, fresh and i can imagine would be a great place for other exhibitions. the coffee shop was cool and modern- definitely somewhere i would take my laptop and get on with work.
The fact that this place is free is ridiculous. let me charge my phone for free, delicious cake which was very affordable, but mostly the art space is amazing. and free... i imagine you can also come again and again cus it keeps changing what's on, from celebrated artists to newbies. wow.
Beautiful exhibitions by young artists, good for a quick and inspiring visit
Mao is completely wheelchair accessible and recently updated their toilets and lift to accommodate larger chairs. i regularly take my two autistic children here and the environment is totally chill and inclusive. the art rocks. i love the exhibits because they are so deep. the type of work they show makes you think about life and other people's experiences.
Love this gallery! i came to this gallery almost two weeks ago (08/08/23) 📸🖼️🖌️ to look at the latest exhibition and the creative space/mini sensory room in the creative space! it looks amazing and the current exhibition looks awesome aswell, i always try and come to the gallery whenever i'm in oxford as i do love my art 🖌️ and seeing that exhibition made me very happy boundary encounters it is really good!! 🫶🏻
