Fantastic hotel and the staff were lovely. the room (we had a club cell room) was amazing except for the fact it was stifling as there are no windows that can open. a staff member arranged 2 fans for our room but as they can't be plugged in near the bed it was pointless and i only managed to get around 3 hours of sleep. the bathroom...wow...it was beautiful with a roll-top bath and an amazing shower. we had booked a dinner and breakfast package and the food was outstanding. i had calamari to start and the blackened salmon for a main and it was all delicious. would i stay again..yes but only if i had a room with a window i could open or an oscillating fan with more power than a tower fan.
We had the most amazing experience at malmaison. the architecture is amazing and the rooms were great. breakfast and food overall was great too. the service was excellent, everyone from the staff is so nice. special shoutout to nadia for giving us the best tips and treating us so well. we’ll definitely be back here next time we come to oxford.
Had the best weekend last month staying in this hotel with my partner. couldn’t recommend enough to anyone looking to stay in oxford. the rooms were great, the breakfast was delicious and staff were helpful and had a great local knowledge (very helpful as i don’t know the area) to ensure we had a memorable weekend.
We stayed for three nights in early september, the weather was unusually hot. the hotel lived up to its reputation on all fronts. the reception was welcoming, business like and very helpful. our rooms were on level 4 in the new wing. twin beds that were the best i've slept in for a very long time. room was spacious with all the facilities one expects of a hotel of this standard. linen, towels etc were all of the first quality. an espresso coffee machine and complimentary coffee supply was available as well as the usual tea and trimmings. breakfast was served in the old part of the hotel and the staff were polite friendly and helpful. the food was beyond reproach and cooked to order. one evening we tried the hotel dining room and we were not disappointed. all in all a memorable stay. the hotel is now on our go-to list next time we visit oxford.
