Recommended to me many years ago and I constantly recommend Shaun Nicholson to everyone who needs some mortgage support, advice and help to save a LOT of money. I hope there's no word count on this... We have had Shaun do our mortgage reviews for over a decade now, and each time he surprises with how much he understands the market (and how little I know!) and the efforts he will go to so that he gets the best deal and gives the best advice. Kindness matters a lot to me and Shaun is generous with his advice, time, support and humour. I should have done previous reviews but this time he has totally blown me away. I had a really complicated situation this time and I had contacted no less than 3 financial advisers, 2 legal experts, citizen's advice and more and I was proper frustrated and confused. Shaun went out of his way (out of hours, too) to help me navigate it. In doing so he has, no word of a lie, saved me tens of thousands of pounds. I mean, who does that? In this really difficult time of high mortgage rates, I expected to really struggle. I'm not going to lie: there is no cheap option, but Shaun has negotiated a way for us to keep our current cheap rate mortgage and get another top-up AND advised us how best to pay so that we minimise risk and cost AND discussed options for how to keep everything in check. I exchanged today and I move in next week. We are moving to be nearer family and about 2 hours further away from the Nicholson Brown office. Would I even bother to look for a local mortgage advisor? Not in a million years. Thankfully, most everything can be done over the phone and online anyway! Honestly, it costs nothing to have a phone conversation with Shaun and you can decide for yourself. (In fact you don't pay anything until it's all done). Integrity, great advice, help throughout the process, and a mortgage deal you probably won't be able to negotiate yourself. It's not common (as per the 12 years of experience I had before finding this company) and it removes so much of the pressure and work. Thanks Shaun and see you for our next review!
