I've been to this shop for decades. As a young person I went to the nearest city to find shoes, gave up and got what I wanted at Clarkes. Now my feet are wide with bunions and at Clarkes I get specialist fitting and care. Great family shop with an old fashioned feel that has a fantastic range of shoes. Give it a go!

Wonderful customer service. I visited the shop today to buy new shoes for my little boy, but the gentleman who served me told me he didn't need a bigger shoe size yet. I doubt a highstreet shop would have been so honest. I will not hesitate to purchase all future shoes for my three children from this shop from now on! Thank you W.A.Clarke, we will be back soon!

I’ve been using this shoe shop since I purchased my 4 year old’s first pair of shoes when she was 18 months old! We travel from the other side of the bridge to come to this specific shop because the service you receive is nothing like I’ve experienced before. Absolutely worth the trip out to this fantastic place and you will be well looked after and the quality is amazing for every single pair of footwear I have purchased.

The best shoe shop in the area. Take their time with the children and measure their feet properly. They also soften the shoes to prevent blistering.
