Crowne Plaza Plymouth, an IHG Hotel

Much nicer feel than other crowne plaza hotels. Unfortunately, despite getting an executive room, the shower drain was blocked, the temperature control wasn't accurate (so very challenging to wash our toddler without scalding her), the vanity pack had been used and not thrown away or replaced, the phone didn't work so we called reception but they couldn't hear us and hung up on us. Access to the club lounge was nice, but there were no biscuits or snacks in the morning as promised, and the coffee was so awful we threw it away. The swimming pool was lovely and the changing rooms were very clean and nice. The pool has a shallow end of 0.6m, so it's excellent for those learning to swim. Most of the lifts were out of order, and we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs from the underground car park into the lobby. The car park was incredibly snug and a challenge to get an estate car into and out of the spaces.

Clean spacious rooms. Beautiful views at the restaurant. Where we enjoyed our breakfasts the coffee was the biggest let down. Great central location for tourism . The pricey parking is not for the faint of heart, very tight old fashioned parking lot, some parking outside too. Car charger in garage. Pool and steam room and sauna in high demand, very crowded with guests and gym members. Supposedly only open till 8 for kids but saw kids playing on the treadmill after 8 in the gym... supposedly open till 10, but sauna and steam were closed at 9...

I have stayed here many times in the past when it was a holiday inn and its nice to see that it is now a crown plaza as I like the extras like the club lounge and nice restaurant unfortunately the club lounge wasn't offered to me on my visit which was a little disappointing as I have used that facility at other crown plaza I have stayed at. The rooms are spacious and modern and the breakfast is excellent as always. My only complaint was the 2 trips I had to make to reception as my key didn't work in my door other than that a pleasant stay

The green view from pool was my favorite. Room was spacious to stay with 2 adults and 1 toddler. Breakfast was delicious. We accidentally left our daughter's bunny. Hotel found it for us and sent it for free of charge. We would like to say Big Thank you again for your kind service. See you soon.

We enjoyed a four night stay here early sept.The room lacked storage with just one wardrobe and the shelves were taken up with a safe on one and a sky box on another which meant we had to live out of a suitcase. The room could have done with a better clean,the windows were filthy with what looked like greasy hand marks over them. Having said that the size of the room and bathroom are very good.We would probably return as the location is excellent.
