Crownhill Fort

Had a fantastic time at the Open day exploring all that the Fort has to offer. Very informative tours and walks. Highly recommended 👌

If you get the opportunity - go. It's a must for all history buffs or even if you just want to be nosy! A very knowledgeable team with many in period costume. Lots of access to various parts of the fort, especially walking the ramparts. The cannon firing is not to be missed an impressive whoosh & bang! Food & drink is available from local vendors. A truelly amazing experience. A great example of a Victorian fort. Amazing tunnels to explore with history to take you back to a bygone Era. We stayed for 3 nights and had the entire place to ourselves. Go to the landmark trust website for more info.

The evening experience was excellent. Very interactive. Lots of knowledge gained. It seemed the children loved it too. Oh and you get to fire a gun. All good.

Went to the last Open day, what a spectacular day it was loads to see and learn about. the staff was amazing! Well, worth a visit.
