Tops Day Nurseries: Bretonside Nursery

My son is just graduating pre-school here and we're so gutted to be saying goodbye. He went here as a baby and we brought him back after lockdown due to a lot of regression with his autism. They have been fantastic for and with him from the beginning. Even though he is non-verbal they really understand his needs and what makes him happy. Altering what's needed for him like his food and surrounding choices as needed. They've worked well with him to achieve his targets, organising extra funding for one on one time to help with this too. Which has really showed massively in his day to day life and new situations. He settled very quickly and all the staff have been so amazing with him, he just loves going and I know he's going to miss being there and all the staff when he leaves. Highly recommend!

My little girl has been going here since she was 5 months old. She’s always happy to see the front door and comes out with big smiles too. Her most favorite person there is Jamie, who is brilliant at keeping me updated daily and gets the biggest smiles from Willow. My little girl gets to do activities I wouldn’t even think of at home, and her development is coming along lovely. I thought it would be hard to hand her over to go back to work but all the lovely ladies at Tops have made it such an easy transition for me! Thank you!

Tops Day Nursery provided a safe and welcoming environment for our child who has sensory, communication and medical needs. He had a consistent staff to help him navigate his day. They were also super helpful and supportive in the process of securing his EHCP. The staff are very friendly and supportive and they listened to our needs. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent especially with a SEN child.

My daughter absolutely loves nursery, we were really hesitant putting her in as she was only 18mths, and we worried she'd struggle to settle but the staff made her feel right at home. The photos they take show her laughing and having lots of fun with the team, which allows me to get on with being back at work guilt free knowing she's happy and being well cared for.

After viewing many nursery options around Plymouth for my daughter, Tops Bretonside was definitely my top choice and I'm so thankful that we secured a placement. My daughter has been enrolled since March 2022 and has flourished. Her speech, mannerisms and everyday tasks have improved drastically. Even though I was providing all these teachings for her at home, she has thrived in the nursery setting. All meals are provided to her which is such a life saver for me not having to prepare school lunches. At 2.5years of age - she is already fully using the toilet, this is largely thanks to the time and effort put in by her room managers (Teachers Leah and Charlotte) during toilet training. I love the daily updates and observations provided on the app for parents. As we cant access the nursery due to safeguarding/ covid/ hygiene - its great that we can still be involved on the app. My daughters teachers and all other teachers I have been in contact with are super friendly and I know my daughter is in good hands because she is excited to go to nursery everyday. Also thanks to Sam (school manager) for your patience and understanding and lending an ear.
