This area of plymouth is just over two miles east from the heart of the city in st jude’s and is a beautifully peaceful and tranquil park with sparkwell located to the north. there are a generous amount of trees comprising mostly of ash and walking towards cleveland road they formed a beautiful triumphal cathedral arch. there are spaces for relaxation and recreation and a comprehensive playground for children. there are tennis and bowls facilities. be careful where you park your car if you don’t want it covered in sap or resin. one side of the park is a residential only cul-de-sac with visitors not permitted to park between 10 and 11 am. the other side is unrestricted. all in all a tranquil reservoir of beauty in the heart of a city
Really like this park. rarely litter and good disabled alternatives to the stairs around the park. dog friendly and good vibes.
Really lovely park and very well maintained. my partner spotted this hidden gem on one of his walks, and we took our children along, and they both loved it . there are sand activities as well as various other play items for all ages. there is also a cafe of which we did not attend due to it being a sunday when we visited .
Really lovely park. great for all ages as they have baby swings and normal swings, slides, climbing frames, sand pits, benches, plus a huge field and basketball court. can walk dogs on the field. great place to take a picnic too or a ball/bike etc. roadside parking. easily accessible. downside is i'm not sure there's any toilets nearby- i didn't see any.
One of the best play parks in plymouth, never really have any issues with parking alongside it. the cafe is very useful. i hope this park doesn't get updated to the point it loses its character. my kids absolutely love it here. only gripe is that i wish the sand parts of the park were better maintained as they have fallen into disrepair.
