The Bank

Great historic city pub with an amazing atmosphere. Great food fair price gtrat city location. Children are welcome, and we would not recommend children in the evening . The pub itself in evening is great place for adults. In the daytime we went with our children they had a lovely time and enjoyed the menu.

The Bank is perfectly placed for people going to the theatre royal and right next to the theatre car park in Plymouth, book your table on line, the food is quick and good very, very reasonably priced, the best burger is the hot chicken burger with tender moist chicken, pay the extra £1 for curly fries it’s worth it, the pulled pork topped burger was ok and a good feed, it’s not the best beef in the world but ok, going for the hot chicken burger next time, don’t waste your money on dessert £5.50 on a pre made frozen small chocolate bar if shameful, overall a good cheap meal with a pint or glass of wine, certainly go and have fun

We visited last night after not visiting for about 4 years due to our last vist not being great! However food was lovely well presented and cooked perfectly! Few items was missing from our order but quickly rectified, realised we was over charged more then our meal cost when we got home so make sure to check your being charged the right amount! I had the boa buns sadly couldn't eat them as didn't realise there was loads of siracha mayo at the bottom, pulled pork however was cooked beautifully with loads of flavour of bbq! The burger was cooked perfectly, the beef patties was moist and good flavours! Fries was the skins on ones with lovely seasoning and a small pot of homemade slaw (would be nice to have a little extra)! Overall was a a very nice evening, very busy due to the theatre being on! I would recommend booking a while in advance for a table

Four of us needed a meal before going to the theatre . We only had just over an hour to be served before we made our way to see the show. It was so lovely to see the staff cope with the numbers of people wanting the same as us. The staff were so helpful . Food is good. The salad accompaniments I had were fresh and substantial. We all enjoyed our meals. Presentation was very good. I asked for a small orange and lemonade which was what I got as some pubs don’t seem to have small sizes so there would have been some left to waste. It was just the right amount for the time we had there.

Very good food at a very good price, especially considering the quality. I didn't need to book in advance and food came out in good time. Very happy and will definitely come again.
