St James' Church, Poole

Lovely example of Georgian church, completed 1820, on site of church dating back a thousand years. A 'must see" interior. Streets around have gorgeous 18th century buildings. Churchyard has 18th century burials, many names famous in Poole history.

I love carols at this time of year and the candlelight service they have here is lovely. Cobbles and ancient houses on the walk down. Then beautiful music and readings. Merry Christmas!
