I found myself left to my own devices for the afternoon after leaving my partner to shop with friends, and so i chose cosy club as my base to have lunch and a some drinks - and glad i did! you always feel a bit “billy no mates” on your own at this type of place but i was made to feel welcome and given the option of a table in the restaurant, or near the entrance/lobby area - i chose the later. staff were very attentive but clearly hot on their feet busy, too. i chose the rib eye cooked medium, with fries and added garlic mushrooms. it was actually really tasty, well seasoned and cooked. nice and flavoursome 👌🏼 portion size it felt a little mean for the money, could easily of had more fries to make it more of a meal. i was still very hungry after, almost ordered a side plate after. i really enjoyed the atmosphere. i want to say it’s a bit like a posh version of a wetherspoon’s but that would be doing it a disservice! for my dinner, a pint of amstel and a coke it was about £36 + service tip. i’d go back.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive making for great service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. there is a really good choice if drinks and the menu isn't overrun with dozens and dozens or choices like you see at a lot of other place. the food options are brilliant and very, very tasty based on what we've had so far. great value for money too. thanks again cosy club, portsmouth. we will be returning soon :)
Best club sandwich this side the island! dont miss it!!! i had an english garden to go with the sandwich! lovely food. lovely staff. great views… see u guys soon
Lovely restaurant set within the gun wharf portsmouth. great menu to choose from, excellent decor to enjoy while having a relaxing meal. the restaurant is near the base of the spinnaker tower. recommend that you book ahead to get a table near the window to enjoy a great view of the tower and the marina. highly recommended.
My wife, daughter and i ate her for lunch in june 2023 on a saturday. the restaurant was busy but very well staffed, so the service was attentive without being overbearing. with our daughter being one year old, she's quite impatient when it comes to waiting for food. the staff and kitchen were very accommodating in bringing her food out first. she had a child's portion of mac n cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. my wife ordered breaded buttered chicken and i had a vegan burger. both were delicious with good portion sizes. in total we spent just under £45 for two adult meals, one children's meal and two soft drinks (the children's meal included a soft drink). when visiting portsmouth again the cosy club will certainly be a top contender for dining out.
