Britannia Fish and Chips

I come here everyday for my break as a coach driver, the food is excellent, battered sausages are amazing and the fish is so fresh it's flaky and not dry. the chips are amazing. the staff are friendly, welcoming and amazing. it's always clean and have plenty of comfortable seating. if you are visiting portsmouth then add this place to your visits you won't be disappointed

Nice place, you can also eat in, pleasant clean area around the back. kids portions also good!

I like healthier food (not fried) and i was so glad to discover that this restaurant offers a grilled fish and chips option! this made my day! i was also very impressed with the friendliness of the stuff as well as with how clean the restaurant was. so a great experience all around! have recommended the place to my friends who were going to portsmouth for a day. thank you, i will gladly come back, too!

Hands down one of the best fish and chips we have had! the fish and even the chips were so fresh, the staff is very professional and the restaurant is very clean and well kept. if you’re in portsmouth, you definitely need to try this place!

Best fish and chips i've ever had! haddock was fried perfectly to keep the juice, batter was crispy with just the right thickness to give a perfect balance with the fish. freshly fried when you order and the batter won't become soggy even for your last bite. remarkable!! will definitely come back when i travel to portsmouth again.
