ibis Portsmouth Centre

Well, pretty bog standard. Stayed at plenty of ibis hotels and this is pretty poor for the room. The hotel downstairs is great and friendly staff. Location is OK. Room leaves a lot to be desired. Altho7fh clean amd tidy, Small and poorly laid out. Bathroom is shockingly small, I'm 6"2 so nit huge but I struggled...Barely able to sit in the toilet! Shower I could hardly move. I know it's a naval town but I don't need to feel I'm on a boat! Door still slightly opened ajar when closed and locked, felt very insecure. Travelodge here has far bigger rooms,for same price. I do like ibis but very unpleasantly surprised with this one. Shame.

Needed to catch an early morning ferry, do decided to stay here overnight. Great choice. Breakfast from 06:30 was perfect, up showered and fed, and still at ferry terminal by 7:45. Great staff, clean rooms, if a little small, ideal location.

A great hotel for a short stay. The rooms are not really big but for a weekend it's fine. The bathroom is small especially the shower. But you can still live there comfortable for a few days. The lobby is extremely comfy. The breakfast is delicious. the 24 hour check in is really practical when you know you are going to arrive late.

Good hotel in a perfect location to visit the University and surrounding area. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms are small but were perfectly adequate for our one night stay. Comfy bed, good in-room facilities. Very close to train station so great for us. We had a room at the back so it was very quiet.
