Round Tower

I like going to the round tower as once you've gone up to the top your able to take a seat and look out across the sea and watch all the boats coming in and going out . Its a lovely view especially if the weather is nice

If you are unable to use the stairs you can see the 360 view on our Millennium Promenade tour via the website. Great Vantage Point to see the Ships leaving and arriving. There is no disabled access to the tower, but is free to enter. The Round Tower one of the original Henry VII's fortifications and it was from this location that a chain ran over to a wooden fort on the Gosport side. Once raised it provided a formidable barrier to the inner harbour and Portsmouth Town. www.360tours.uk

Great views of the harbour. There is a seating area where you can watch ferries come and go. Worth a visit.

Beautiful spot in old Portsmouth with lovely views of the harbour. There are seats available on top of the tower. Some quite steep steps and low arches, so it's a bit tricky for those with mobility issues. If you're in Portsmouth for a visit, it's worth going along to the Round Tower, just round the corner from Gun Wharf.
