Ripon Cathedral

M first visit last week. Stunningly beautiful and well maintained. Even the "priest " (not sure of correcr terminology for Church of England) came up to greet me and made me feel very welcome. And great to see it's a very "active" and community focussed cathedral with lots of activities.

A nice cathedral, though not massively better or different to similar large northern cathedrals. The organ works well if you're lucky enough to hear it playing. There are some unusual statues inside alcoves at the back of the cathedral. Entry was free.

Great place to visit. Amazing cathedral the stain glass windows are superb. Would recommend a visit just to see them. …
