Got a room without a window for one night. it's a budget hotel so i don't really have any complaints since my room was clean and quiet which are the most important for me. everyone was really polite and check-in was fast. really liked the fact that you have direct access on how your a/c works. the only downside is i only had one big towel and had to wipe both hands and body with it but also i didn't really ask for an extra as it was ok. location is great as it's right next to supermarket and budget shops and eating spots like mcdonalds, kfc, subway, poundland, lidl and b&m.
This hotel was so cheap yet the single room i got was very comfortable with a nice en suite shower. the receptionists are so lovely and accomodating. the hotel is in a perfect location, with walking distance to the train station, tram stop right in front of the hotel and restaurants and odeon cinema at arms reach. for shopping i jumped straight into the tram which went straight to metrocentre shopping mall.
From the outside, it may look a bit a sketchy but once you're inside, this is definitely one of the best hotels i have stayed a night in. the rooms are pretty small and unless you have a let facing the roadway (high street) you would not have a window for your room, but... security & protection is of the hallways are top-tier and the convenience of everything makes it worth a look. the rooms themselves are of 5-star quality! coming from america, if i were to so happen to be coming through sheffield again, this would be my go-to hotel to stay in.
The good points were the staff, and the comfortable bed. otherwise our windowless room was really basic. nowhere to hang wet towels, no table or chair,no kettle, just a bed ,a tv and a tiny shower room with very little privacy. yes we knew there was no window when we booked it, but it was really odd having no clue what was going on in the outside world, and i found it claustrophobic. a step up from a hostel, and probably just about ok for one night if you got it at a reasonable price but it was hugely overpriced on the night we booked, due to a band being on at the arena. not for me.
Had a great stay here, rooms are central and affordable. great service. staff are helpful. chloe on the front desk was great with setting up late checkout. rooms are also super clean. very happy with my stay here
