Stayed for 3 nights in 2 separate trips during the 2023 snooker fortnight. Rooms - Odd numbered rooms face onto the noisy tram line and traffic noise. As the double glazed window wasn't good at keeping out the noise I changed for an even number room which was much quieter but the view out of the window is of just a large brick wall. Room lighting - rather dim , not much natural light due to the wall outside and the actual room lights are at best adequate. Shower was nice with good water pressure. Breakfast - Good , Cooked Food (I had hash brown, bacon and sausage) was hot. Orange Juice was a bit watery. Location - is right next to a good, secure car park which you can get a 50% discount code off the Travelodge website. N.B Car Park has to be paid for via the Car Park operators website before you arrive. Hotel is close to a noisy pub (Norfolk Arms), Most direct route to Crucible theatre / City Centre shops is up a 200m road (Dixon Lane) with disused shops. Dixon Lane is lit ok but is a bit daunting at night as the area has a few dodgy looking people wandering around! Overall decent value for money and would stay again

Stayed here for 3 nights, room was clean however they do not refresh your room and if you need new towels you need to hang the sign in the door before 11am. The room was very hot and the window had restrictions on how far it would open Staff very friendly and always spoke to you. Very central to town but some noise from traffic and trams from outside.

very unhappy with my stay here. booked a quiet floor at an extra price and had someone next door at 10pm banging on their door for a solid 20 minutes. bearing in mind I had to wake up for work early. to add to this, there are no charging ports near the bed at all. the bathroom stunk of something awful I can't even describe. the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. overall one of the worst travelodge experiences I've had.

The staff are friendly and very helpful, so I would give them 5 out of 5 stars. The rooms are showing signs of wear and tear, such as paint having come off skirting boards and the carpet looking worn. The main problem is the location, as there were tramps sleeping on a bench nearby, the area looks run down and some of the people staying in the hotel looked and acted like chavs.

This is the perfect hotel if you are on a budget.. In my opinion the Travelodge is the premium of all the budget hotels.. On average the rooms are larger than their competition. Other benefits include Early check-in Late check-out Great value food Staff are very friendly.
