piña - Mexican restaurants in Sheffield

🌮🍸@pina.sheffield 🍸🌮 last night we headed to pina with the work crew in search of tasty tacos and cocktails, we sat in their outdoor area , and all ordered some food. overall the food is good quality here , and packs some great flavours. i would reccomend for the quality of the food however only go if your feeling flush , i chose the corn ribs and 2 pork tacos , a margarita and a coffee tequila shot to finish our meal and just for me my bill came to £40. can't help feeling that everything at pina is about a third more expensive than it should be. it's a relaxed bar with a bit of food, not fine dining. they also wack a 15% service charge on the bill (not included in my £40) that my colleague asked to be removed, when the prices are already that high they should be able to afford to pay their staff properly, and i like to be able to choose if i want to tip. good food - steep steep prices.

The benches outside were a bit rickety to sit on and the food menu is very limited to tacos and a few sides, so if you want anything more than tacos, you're better off going to one of the other mexicans in town with a fuller menu. a decent drinks selection though and a nice atmosphere.

Came out of yellow arches and could smell food to my required situation. following the smell on saturday afternoon had brilliant tapas. plus a couple of drinks. great atmosphere and brilliant staff. cheers 🥂

Loved it. the food was excellent and the cocktails equally as good. we tried a few different tacos and they were all delicious with a decent amount of filling. i'd say that it's a teeny tiny bit overpriced at £9 for 2 tacos and they're quite small, but i think they're worth it, just about! we had some loaded fries too which were fantastic. i had the picante cocktail (2 of them!) which are made with hot sauce and jalapeños. it's a bit different but very nice. the venue is cool and has an industrial vibe, which is my thing so i enjoyed being here. we'll definitely be visiting again. in total it cost £73 for 4 cocktails, 6 tacos and 1 portion of loaded fries. i recommend a visit.

Delicious tacos and great cocktails. the vibe is really fun here with friendly service. there's an outdoor seating area too.
