One of the best parks in the city. a large green space with plenty of trees and a reasonable sized wooded area, a playing field, small skate park and children's playground. the park is built on a hill and can be fairly steep in places but the climb is worth it for the view of tree city. there is a small walled garden and the bishop's house is a preserved 15th century half timbered house open on weekends and definitely worth the trip.
Fantastic park. there are so many events going off here it seems to be a lovely community that come together. when we visited last sunday a race was on and local people had gathered to play music and to cheer the participants on.
Fantastic views of the city from turner's view (yes, the turner), and the quirky bishop's house (tiny, and not a bishop's official palace, there was just a bishop in the family, it's a small farm house). still exploring the area - there's a walled garden i haven't seen yet, and some lovely neighbourhood murals.
This place is great! every time you think you've found the best lookout, another one is right behind it! lots of space for kids and dogs to play and plenty for the adults to enjoy as well.
Wonderful view of the city and great for a picnic. only downside is there are no toilets! 🥲 and had to walk to a costa nearby. still rating 5 stars - it’s a beautiful green park with many areas to stay at and relax
