Had a lovely meal at olive last night. the food was delightful, and the atmosphere/service was spot on. on a separate note, i left my car keys and the staff waited out of hours the next day for me to collect them - further signs of a proper family business run properly - as shown by a full house on a wednesday night. will definitely be returning.
Great atmosphere, the waitresses were really nice they took our coats when we walked in. the food was great i ordered the king prawns and my partner orders the arancini for starters and they were really tasty, for mains i got the moroccan lamb and my partner got the pan fried sea-bass both were good but the sea-bass deffo stole the show best dish they do sure
We had an incredible birthday celebration here! firstly, the staff were friendly, attentive and knew the menu inside and out! secondly, the food was simply amazing. my polish girlfriend has incredibly high standards for food and she was blown away! i was equally impressed! we mostly ate from the small plates / starter section and these sounded the best. however, the food we saw coming out for other customer looked equally as tasty and we'll presented! every dish was carefully prepared and presented beautifully, see the photos. we booked early and the place soon filled up! it was full by the time we left, so definitely make a booking. we were told that tips were preferred in cash, so that's one thing in mind. thankfully we had enough to reward the hard working staff for their efforts! we thoroughly recommend this place and we'll certainly return again! more people need to visit this place as it really is a hidden gem!
Pleasant but by no means amazing. service polite and friendly. dinner with wife and mother in law. zalouk starter nice, major let down was calamari £9.50 for small portion. apparently with harissa jam but could have been sweet chilli for what i could tell. lamb main was tasty, beef pasta was good and good portion, chicken gorgonzola pasta also good and good portion. in general was on the more expensive side for what it was.
We went here for a birthday celebration. the food menu is a cross of mediterranean with a hint of north african. the menu is relatively small, but all of the food was brilliant throughout, this includes taste, quality and presentation. quantity is on the smaller side, but is made up for by the other factors and all is reflected in the pricing. although nothing to complain about, the food was a little slower than expected - but we were a group of 6. overall a great evening and experience.
