Good fish and chips, he's a bit busy serving, just eat type drivers before you, but so are most shops now.☹️

We ordered fish and chip meal to millbrook and the food was still red hot which is fantastic my children lived the nuggets and actually cleared their plates my fish was incredible such a good portion for a very reasonable price, we will be back again just for the quality of food and the service highly recommended

Not a bad meal but not brilliant either. Lovely customer service but the chips weren't the usual chippy standard. Mushy peas were decent, 1 of the 2 cod fish's was superb and average prices. Being able to eat in and the place was clean which is a bonus also. Parking not a problem also.

Top place and would highly recommend. Fish was cooked beautifully, and the chips were perfect. Purchased a portion for my Nan, and it was nice to see they cater for seniors and offer a 'small' serving. They have a sign up that tells you what potatoes they are using and where they're from which is a great touch. Friendly staff and price was very reasonable. 10/10.

The food itself, particularly the large fish and chips, was undoubtedly a highlight, earning a solid 5-star rating. The crispy batter and tender fish truly satisfied our taste buds, leaving us fully content with our meal. However, the service and atmosphere left something to be desired, garnering a more modest 3-star rating. While the establishment can get busy, it's understandable that delays may occur. Nonetheless, we were disappointed when we paid ahead of four other customers, who ordered the same meal after us, but received their food before we did. It felt as though the order processing lacked fairness, as those who ordered later should not have received their meals before us, given our prior arrangement. Despite these hiccups, the staff was generally courteous, and the atmosphere had a pleasant, casual vibe. Nevertheless, improvements in service efficiency and attentiveness would elevate the overall dining experience at Shirley Fish Bar.
