Small fry

Excellent place for Fish and Chips, cooked to order. I go there once a week on a Thursday or Saturday. Service is never less than good and friendly, even when they are busy. Just be patient and they'll get to you. Parking is out front. At this moment [early 2022] they are going through a tougher time as the road has been partially closed for 5 months, due to roadworks, and the shop is less easy to get to. But do persist, it's worth it. And it helps them too. EDIT: 30-09-2023. Renamed "The Big Catch". New owners have been in place a few months. Have to admit that I stopped going. The quality had dropped through the floor and prices had gone up. However, curiosity recently got the better of me - and quality has improved. It's not quite as good as before, but it is acceptable now for me. Prices are the same but now it's beginning to be worth it again. It's early days, so whereas once this shop would get a 4.5/5.0 it now gets a 3.5/5.0 with the hope that it gets better. I'll pop by every once in a while. Just not every week like before.

Used this shop for the last few weeks as I considered them to be the best in the area. Went in again today and something was clearly different. Chairs and tables nicely placed outside, the till had been moved to a better position, the staff had changed and the Covid screen had gone and it was a much better atmosphere. The best part though was the food. 2 large cod and medium chips were absolutely amazing. We don’t usually like change but we both have to agree it was the very best we have had, well done chaps 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is our fish and chip place. Come here every time. Solid, reliable. Very tasty. Pop round the corner to get a bottle of wine while you wait for the fish to cook, if you have a classy bird like mine
