Boots Opticians Southampton - Above Bar (in Boots)

I went in to Boots during a week day, without an appointment and in a bit of a state due to it being an emergency. They sat me down straight away to go through some initial details about myself and told me that I would be seen after the current appointment, which was fantastic! Overall I waited for about 10 minutes which, without an appointment, is something that doesn't normally happen. When I got in, the optician performed a variety of tests to diagnose what was wrong and did so in a friendly, reassuring and thorough fashion. She told me the problem and a temporary solution and that another member or staff was on hold to the hospital about booking an appointment for me which would sort me out in the long term. Whilst I waited on hold to the hospital (which was about 45 minutes) she even had time to run some further eye tests. Once everything was sorted I went home - only to receive a phone call from Boots saying they had some paperwork that I needed for my emergency appointment at the hospital the next day. I offered to come back and get it, but they refused and said that they would deliver it themselves, which was fantastic and completely above and beyond their duty. I can't thank the staff enough for their wonderful service and would strongly recommend using their friendly and helpful staff.

The optometrist, Rachna seemed to really understand the issues I was having with my current contact lenses and was able to improve my vision in the range that I wanted. She also gave me good advice on how to cure my dry eyes by using a warm compress. I was very impressed by both her knowledge and friendly persona.

Boots opticians in the Boots...blown away by level of service...Especially after visiting Specsavers next door. Spectsavers refused to fit lenses in my frame. Boots has no issues to retake necessary measurements (original prescription was from Spectsavers) and advice best options for my needs. Manager Andrew is a diamond. Highly recommended.
