Houndwell Park

One of a collection of parks in Southampton, making a large green area with a variety of spaces, separated by roads.

Absolutely GORGEOUS park after me and the Mrs have finished our DAILY clean up and been around disposing of EVERYBODY ELSES DISGUSTING LITTER!!! If people were more conscientious and caring of the local environment it would always be a beautiful little retreat right in the centre of town :)

Really lovely place to picnic. Lots of families enjoying the nice weather and the play park. Great to see local police officers on bicycles regularly patrolling. Felt really safe.

We enjoyed the playground after a shopping trip. The playground itself is nice, but it's much more appropriate for older children. The climbing frame in the middle means you can not see one end to the other. Also keep in mind there are busy roads on two sides of the playground, I wouldn't want to visit regularly due to car pollution.
