I don't even know where to start! I had trawled the internet looking for a photographer for our wedding and, luckily, stumbled across Lovingly Lydia. I was blown away by the photos on the website and knew it was exactly the quality and style that I was looking for. What struck me most was that every single photo, whether a wedding, family or new-born shot, looked like it could be in a glossy, upmarket magazine. I couldn't wait to get in touch! From my very first contact with Donna, I could not fault her. She is such a genuinely lovely person and was sure to let me know that I should shop around before making any final decisions, which was so refreshing and showed me that she truly cared more about us having the right person to document our special day than just agreeing and taking our money. I scoured every wedding fayre and website that I could find and still couldn't find anyone that came close. Donna 100% understands all of the stresses and strains of planning a wedding and was so helpful throughout our entire time of being in contact. We had a few discussions via email about what we were hoping for and what to expect, and she kept us updated with anything relevant before we had our 'official' planning chat about a month before the wedding. That conversation cemented the fact that this lady's knowledge and experience of not only photography, but weddings and other events overall is remarkable. She actively listened to our wishes and made fantastic additional suggestions which showed us that she really understood us as people and as a couple. On wedding morning, Donna was absolutely incredible! She made my bridesmaids, my parents and I feel so comfortable. She even added to the fun and laughter, without being overbearing in any way. It was like having another bestie there! During the rest of the day, Donna was everywhere but rarely noticed, and not in a negative way at all! She perfectly slotted into all areas of the day without impacting the enjoyment of us or the guests. Those guests that did have chats with Donna throughout the day made a point of telling us how lovely she was, which we obviously knew already! Donna saw me in the early evening after I'd changed to flats and put on a denim jacket and excitedly suggested some 90s style shots that were on trend at the time, which we were totally up for. It showed how she thinks on her feet and doesn't just stick to the bog standard wedding shots that you see literally everywhere. She quite literally personalises her photography to you and your day. So onto the actual photos... Wow... Just WOW! Firstly, Donna had already edited and provided us with a taster gallery 2 days after the wedding. We were immediately besotted and couldn't wait to see the rest. We had the rest of the nearly 900 photos just 3 days later. EVERY SINGLE ONE was exactly like the website photos in terms of quality and style, whilst perfectly capturing the very personal feeling of our day. Words can't express how much I adore our photos and will treasure them for a lifetime. I fully intend to contact Donna for any photography I want/need in the future, without question! Donna @ Lovingly Lydia has been our family photographer for 4 years, we always find ourselves returning to her for shoots and her ideas are always fun. *like snapping a shot of my daughter hanging upside down on a swing. My son always feels really uncomfortable having photos taken but Donna always goes above and beyond to get him involved which speaks volumes to us. At the beginning of April 2023 my family and I had a newborn shoot with Donna following the birth of my youngest son who was 6 days old at the time and I can honestly say we had a truly fantastic experience. For the shoot we took along our eldest son who was 16 months old and we were really impressed with the environment that Donna has created in the studio as it’s very child friendly, with toys being supplied and not only that Donna was absolutely fantastic with him, she even got cuddles off him by the end which is rare as he’s normally quite a shy child. It just shows how comfortable Donna makes everyone feel! The studio is absolutely stunning, with lots of natural light. It’s clean, inviting and comfortable. Donna has even set up a baby changing station which makes life so much easier when taking newborns along. A couple of days after the shoot we received a sneak peak and photos were honestly stunning. A couple of weeks after that we received the full gallery which was way more photos than I was expecting. Donna has managed to capture some lovely photos of my little family and even some of just my two boys, which was a challenge with the oldest only being 16 months old. Donna has captured memories that will now last a lifetime and I will forever be grateful. I cannot recommend Donna enough and if I could give more than 5 stars on this review I would. We have recently had a newborn photo shoot with Donna @ Lovingly Lydia Photography and we were so happy from start to finish. Donna made us feel extremely comfortable during the shoot with our 5 day old baby and we couldn’t believe how incredible she was at getting him into lots of different positions…it was amazing to watch. Donna was also very patient when our son needed feeding and was extremely friendly and chatty throughout the shoot. After such a positive experience we were so excited to see our photos and they did not disappoint!! Every single photograph in the gallery is stunning and so special for us to have as our little one gets older. We can’t wait to share them with friends and family. If you’re thinking of going with Donna for your shoot then do it, you won’t regret it!

We found Donna through Facebook and thought her portfolio was absolutely stunning. We are so glad we chose her for our wedding day! Donna went above and beyond for us and our photos are absolutely stunning. She captured all the smiles and managed got loads of candid and structured shots. Donna was very flexible and generous with timings and was prepared to get as many shots as possible for us and our guests. I couldn’t recommend Donna (Lovingly Lydia) enough for wedding photography!
