I recently worked at peartree for 6 weeks prior to christmas 2019, on a student placement. i am studying physiotherapy and so worked alongside the incredible physiotherapy team at peartree. peartree house is an exceptional rehabilitation centre for patients who have suffered brain injuries. without entering the facility you wouldn't even begin to understand the work that goes on to ensure that patients and residents get the upmost care 24/7. the staff go above and beyond with all patients at all times and the whole team is one big family. if i could have continued to work there beyond my placement i would have happily continued to do so.
For my final placement of my physiotherapy degree, i was allocated a 6-week placement at peartree house, working specifically in the physiotherapy department. the staff created a relaxed and conducive atmosphere in which i was able to ask questions and confirm understanding about any queries i had. the physiotherapy team were always very positive and willing to go the extra mile when explaining cases or treatment strategies, which enabled me to feel confident and ultimately added to my expertise. this placement was the highlight of my degree course which was evidenced by the pass marks i received. this constructive experience has encouraged me to pursue a career in neuro-physiotherapy which is something i would not have considered prior to this experience.
I had occasion to take my dad there for a course of treatment, this review is only an advisory and not a review of treatment. parking isn’t easy, they have 4 disabled bays, the had more but built a green shed on two of them and park 3 of their own vehicles in the remaining spaces with a selfish staff member parking her black suzuki in the 4th spot, bit odd really considering almost 100%of their clients have a disability and at no time can expect to get parked in an assigned disability space
I worked for peartree house rehabilitation as a community support worker temporarily for 2 months. what an amazing team and how grateful i was for the support given to me by my manager and deputy manager when required. the physiotherapy and occupational therapy team are also very friendly and welcoming. i would without a doubt work for this company again.
