I can highly recommend joining yasmin in any of the courses she offers. yasmin has the ability to create a calm and nurturing atmosphere into which you can allow yourself to flow, and relax,allowing the stresses of life to evaporate. a guideline for life.
I recently completed the 8 week mbct course with yasmin. she is an excellent teacher and guide. the course was engaging throughout, i looked forward to our sessions each week and i'm without doubt that the techniques i've learned will be invaluable going forward. if you're thinking of exploring mindfulness then do not hesitate to see if yasmin can guide you. the first step in a practise that is nothing short of life-changing.
I met yasmin quite a few years ago when i joined her yoga class. i loved it and no other yoga teacher can compare. she is a truly wonderful, inspiring, knowledgeable, accepting, warm, loving, kind, peaceful and compassionate person (to name just a few of her qualities). with yoga, she gives great instruction and options for every level of attendee. she can adapt and keep it simple for new people and add a challenge for more experienced people. i have been really keen to try a retreat day which i finally got to do in june. it was so lovely, mixing yoga with some mindfulness, lovely people and good food. a note on the food...i am coeliac and needed gluten free food, yasmin was extremely knowledgeable about this and kept the gluten free food separate (buffet style meals are usually a coeliac nightmare). i was so reassured by this and an added bonus that the food was really delicious too. there was such a mix of abilities and people but everyone felt welcome and comfortable. i came out of the day feeling happy, peaceful, floaty and nicely full. it was a great way to stop and check in with myself, which i don't often get the chance to do. yasmin has my highest recommendations, being in her presence is always a tonic for the soul and she is excellent at her craft too.
Yasmin's retreat day was truly an oasis of calm in a life which is very overwhelming at the moment. she made us all feel very welcome and supported through the day, and provided a delicious vegetarian lunch with gluten free options for those who needed them. she ensured that we all took the yoga sessions at our own pace, using props where necessary, and provided adaptations where needed. her calming presence and gentle guided meditations added to the overall sense of calm and nourishment.
Yasmin is a great mindfulness teacher. she brings an amazing calming energy that immediately makes you feel at ease and takes you to the right space to help you focus. the course was well organised and structured, and i definitely feel it gave me some useful lessons to apply in life.
