We took my niece here for her seventh birthday. We had a lovely time. She really enjoyed the shark tunnel, the butterfly room and the penguins. It's quite small and not somewhere you could spend the whole day, but we went to the arcades and had a great time anyway. The gift shop is a bit pants – needs to invest in higher quality goods.

Great place to take the kids. So much to do. Entry fee is £12 or £16 for a year pass so great price for locals. So many exhibits which are kept clean and well maintained. Lots of interactive parts for little ones. Near to the beach so great on a nice day. Would definitely recommend!
