Sunderland Museum, Winter Gardens

Winter gardens weren't open due to essential maintenance work. Lovely museum. My son's 2 so we only really came in to see the fish.

Good displays, even has a smallish display on the miners strike. Free in! Opposite Weatherspoons! What more can you want?

One of the nicest winter gardens. The tree top walk is short but so enjoyable ... You can see different parts of Sunderland from it; city centre and the beach. The museum has some good exhibitions and keeps kids occupied for a couple hours. …
