Lovely bit of country side in the edge of a large town , Retaining much of it's past in both relics of mining era with some preserved parts of buildings and a canal wharf. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Some good signage …

Lovely walk this morning, very quiet, I noticed it was very clean, no litter or dog mess, so I was very happy just walking with my camera

Great place for walking dogs and trekking on the bikes with respect to the walkers and dog walkers. Can be quite muddy in places but my son loved that. We didn't get to see all as we ran out of time. So will probably re visit at some point.
