Maritza's Dog Training

We were despairing of ever being able to properly walk our gorgeous 9 month old (adopted) Golden Retriever UNTIL we found Dean. From our first contact to arrange his 'observation visit' we knew we'd found someone very special and so did our pup! From the get-go, Dean had an amazing connection with him. He's a really genuine guy who loves what he does and has a very reassuring way about him. Unlike our previous trainer, we weren't made to feel as if we were failures, rather Dean encouraged us EVERY step of the way which increased our confidence enormously. We made such good progress over the weeks that the breakthrough came quickly. By Dean's third visit he managed to get out GR pup walking beautifully on a "loose lead". It was like a mini miracle! And to say we're over the moon is an understatement. Dean has single-handedly managed to do in three weeks what our previous trainer couldn't get anywhere near. Dean is right up to date with modern training methods, he takes great pains not to cause any distress - and indeed, he's only shown consideration, care and affection for our pup. His connection with our boy has been a joy to watch! Add to this, his wealth of knowledge and approachablility (always with the needs and happiness of our boy as his top priority) which in turn made us happy too. Believe me when we say "He is a true gem". And therefore, we have NO hesitation in highly recommending Dean (Maritza) and we very much look forward to his return on fire course. This time to enable our boy to work on "recall".

I had my first session with dean with both my dogs to introduce them both and make sure they can get along well and dean helped guide us where to go and move forward from there and now both my dogs are able to be in the same room together I couldn’t be happy and lose lead walking next so excited for it

Took our Labrador x Rottweiler for training with dean and both the 1:1 sessions and classes were brilliant! took away a lot of knowledge to continue training my dog. Clancy responded very well too dean and I can already see a difference in my dogs behaviours! Defo would recommend!
