The Bishop on the Bridge, Winchester

Lovely roast dinner, nice ambiance and a real feature fire. The staff do well with a very busy atmosphere- it can sometimes take a while but if you have time to spare it’s a nice place to go. I’m not sure if the smell of wet dog next to our dinner table was the greatest idea, but what can you do!

A great pub right on the river in central Winchester. Always busy on the weekends, can be noisy (& difficult to hear conversations) but a nice warm atmosphere. Food was spot on as were drinks & the guy who served our table was great too. Really efficient & friendly despite the busyness! Pricey but most places are these days.
