Lovely area to walk but as it's so popular parking is a bit of a nightmare (small carpark) local residents must find it very difficult. Dog friendly however lots of dogs off lead when signs request them to be leashed

A nice walk around the area with good views over the water to Liverpool. Be warned if you go on a hot, sunny day though, there's no shade on the summit, so go prepared. There is more shade however going to the lake end. There's a small car park at the bottom, but you may need to park nearby on busy days.
