Roman Boathouse

Oh and this is a delight! Eye catching, attractive and has the most splendid pebble worked mosaic floor. A must see when visiting this Green Heritage Award winning park. The boathouse was restored in 1990 with sponsorship from Mobil Oil Co. Ltd.

The Roman Boathouse which is essentially a pavilion is located on the edge of the lake and great views of it can be had from the opposite side. You can also go up the steps to the rear of the boathouse and inside where the floor is highly decorated in stones.

A well kept Roman boat house with a lovely mosaic floor. Sadly when we visited someone had set a fire in the middle. Steep stairs lead to it from the path that get slippery in the wet weather.
