Amazing park. love the swiss bridge. absolutely made up with how friendly the squirrels are. take some peanuts & they will pretty much surround you to eat from your hand if you keep still.
To be found in the fabulous and historic, award winning, victorian birkenhead park. this footbridge over the lake was erected in the mid 1840's. the bridge is grade 2 listed. good elevated spot for nature watching.
A beautiful bridge with great views of the lake. steps leading to and from it so sadly wheelchairs are not able to cross. it can get busy with pigeons and sea gulls so be aware the rails can be a bit of a mess.
