Popes Meadow

Short forest walk with free car park. Quite muddy at the moment with all the recent rain, not lit at all so not a good place to walk at night, but still a good 10/15 minute quick circuit. Small playground near car park, and small lake also. Plenty of bins and lots of squirrels for dogs to chase.

Low maintenance tall grass can't really find any reason to go there so car park would be pointless either. …

Pope was right when he said' only fools go where angels fear to tread'... and the fools are those who have no respect for the exquisite wild bluebells that grow in this meadow. It was sad to see sections of the bluebells trodden over. …
