It was a quiet one due to late check in time -3pm. i didn't get to check in until 10.45pm due to my engagement and checked out 10.30a.m the following day. it would have been lovely if check in time is 12noon. i didn't really get the feel of the surrounding.
Staff were friendly. the hotel is very dirty and dusty in need of a clean. the first room we had was very dirty. fortunately we were moved to one of the newer rooms after. i would actually close the hotel for a few days and clean it. i also received a parking ticket even though i paid for parking. overall a good hotel if you want to stay i that location otherwise i'd stay elsewhere. parking system doesn't work either.
Good location, great hotel staff. rooms were tidy and clean the attached restaurant did a good breakfast lovely friendly staff. only knocks a star off as premier inn have moved to single ply, single sheet toilet paper which is only slightly better than the school toilet paper used in the 80's.
The hotel is decent for a place to sleep and really central. it’s right behind the station which is up on a platform so a slight walk to the hotel. even though it was close to the station i never heard the trains. biggest downside was that the parking isn’t free. it’s £3 for 24 hours which is fine for just one night but they didn’t tell us in advance. my window didn’t open but there was working aircon so it wasn’t too bad. it was quiet and the restaurant next to it was super cheap and still good quality food. great for just a place to dump your stuff and sleep for the night.
