The Museum of Carpet

A small museum but packed full of the history of carpet manufacture and Kidderminster itself. The guides are very well informed and you can watch weaving and spinning demonstrations. We learned about the Huguenot settlers bringing their artisan skills to the town. It's well worth a visit and a gem of a local museum.

Fascinating. Much better than expected. A must visit for anyone who has worked in the trade or is interested in the history of the carpet industry.

Absolute must visit for an overview of the key industry in Kidderminster. Very informative and educational, well laid out for all ages. Will keep your interest for a couple of hours if you engage with the very friendly volunteers.
