If I could give more stars I would. Fabulous pastries, sandwiches and cakes. Highly recommend the quiches. Ladies serving so friendly , greeted with a smile. Because of lovely service and fab food , for a 3 day stay we came here each day. Definetly worth a visit. Good prices you will not be dissapointed.

Absolutely delicious. We made a quick stop on our way to Shambles. Tried steak bake, butter croissant and a coffee. Every single item was top notch. And the bakery smells great

For not much money at all you get incredible food in decent sizes served by extremely friendly staff. This is how a sandwich place should be. A true Northern crown jewel.

We absolutely love visiting Thomas the Baker whenever we are in York, it is by far the best for your standard baked goods. The quality is always high, selection wide ranging, food is always fresh and really well priced. Five stars!
