St Olave's Church York

St Olave's sits on the edge of the museum gardens. It's a lovely quiet place to be with your thoughts or to explore as it has information on hand if you are into church history and architecture. Some nice stained glass and 2 war memorials.

We visited during 'York Unlocked' weekend and found it, as would be expected, to be steeped in the rich history of the city. Packed with historical information as were the volunteer guides who were more than willing to share their knowledge. A thoroughly interesting and informative visit.

Open most days just behind Saint Mary's Abbey. Nice little church with all the usual and a couple of colorful windows.
