Yorkshire Rose Academy of Dance

Both my kids attend classes at YRAD and absolutely love it! My little girl attends ballet, and tap & modern and has flourished, her levels of concentration have improved massively. My little boy attends street dance and his confidence has increased hugely. They both really look forward to their classes and also attend the 'Dance fam' sessions on a Saturday afternoon which they are always excited about and benefit from. The teachers are wonderful and the principle, Miss Kerry, is approachable and accommodating. As well as the dance classes, the school also has a focus on the student's mental wellbeing which is so important and we, as parents, are really grateful for, for the kids to have that outlet outside the home. The classes are well priced and the cost is spread monthly across the year to make it more affordable. I would recommend YRAD whole heartedly, it's so much more than just a dance school. WE LOVE IT!

My daughter has been attending YRAD since 2019. The teachers are lovely and she really enjoys her ballet lessons. They are very professional and encourage the children to try their best, instilling confidence as well as developing their dancing skills. Their continuation of classes over Zoom together with the community events they’ve organised during lockdown show their dedication to the children they teach and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dance class for their child.

My daughter has done Ballet with Miss Kerry since she was 2.5 now 8 she absolutely loves it. She also has Miss Cheryl for musical theatre & streetdance both are fantastic teachers and make classes so much fun! She looks forward to going to her classes so much each week 😊 Its such a nice friendly dance school, that also does lots of #dancefam social events. This years summer school (Encanto) was brilliant, I was amazed at how much they managed to cram into the week with the help of Film & Theatre producer Stuart Piper 😀 All the kids did brilliantly, I know my daughter loved it, she had a whale of a time. It was lovely to see the different ages all getting on so well, it seems some of the older ones have got quite a little fan club going on. 😊

My daughter has been doing ballet with YRAD since she was 2 and the school started! She could go to a ballet school closer to home with school friends, but she has never wanted to leave. She looks forward to her lessons and feels a part of the school. The tuition and guidance she receives is exemplary!

My daughter has danced with YRAD for a few years now. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for dance lessons. The teachers are friendly and professional, the lessons are fun but with a fantastic basis of good groundwork as well. The students are encouraged to use their imagination and develop their creativity. The teachers are positive and encouraging and each child feels noticed and supported. The provision of online lessons definitely helped massively during lockdown and gave something to look forward to each week. Miss Kerry and her team are amazing
