I first started training with mark 2 years ago when I got my first gundog. Mark initially chatted with me on the phone before pup arrived, advising about the breed ( as he is a braccco expert!) and expectations. I travelled 2 hours up to York to spend time with him, glean his knowledge and learn the skills. This journey became a regular trip and was worth every penny and second invested. I have seen many dog trainers over the years, and you take great bits from all, but no-one gave me the strong foundation and confidence that mark did, especially when at the mercy of an HPR dog. I cannot recommend Mark highly enough. Both knowledgeable and kind, fair and honest. My relationship with my dog is certainly better for a sprinkling of the ‘Top barks’ magic dust. We have been having training sessions with Mark for over a year now and I would highly recommend. In the sessions with Mark we have learnt loads of gun dog skills for our pet dog. The skills we have learnt have been great at improving our dogs recall and engagement with us and we can practice the skills out and about which really mentally and physically tires him out and keeps the focus and fun around us. But best of all our dog absolutely loves Marks training sessions.

Mark is an excellent dog (and people!) trainer, I really can't recommend him enough. We have been working with him for over 2 years as we raised our first puppy. All his training techniques use positive reinforcement only and he has endless ways to adapt them to the dog in front of him. Mark's own pack of dogs are excellent for puppy socialisation but also using as distractions during training. We recently added a second dog to our household and Mark gave us so many tips to set us up for success with introducing them. He is always very patient and happy to answer numerous questions!

Mark is a godsend. We had four superb sessions with him to help us learn how to train and live with our new puppy. His expertise and ability are manifest, and he has really enabled us to develop our puppy's behaviour, for his benefit and ours! I could not recommend him too highly.
