Côte York

Friendly service, could have done with more lamb /bigger portion ,My son wouldn't have been impressed by it definitelywouldn'tsufficehis appetite. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about. It was a quiet week night when we visited ,we weren't rushed, which was pleasant. I wouldn't rush back, but neither would I avoid.

I had dinner solo in Cote and my server was really lovely - the perfect balance of chatty but not intrusive. The food came quickly, and I really enjoyed it, it was just how I like it. The prefixe menu is such good value - very handy when you are travelling for work and you are on a budget. It meant I had budget for dessert (hurray) and I would highly recommend the chocolate mousse, it was delicious. My only complaints are small: the restaurant had just been repainted, so my experience was spoiled a little by the smell of that. I was also left at the end of my meal when it got busy, which was a bit frustrating as that was when I was tired and wanted to leave - I think it was one of the more senior staff as well which surprised me a little. They took my dessert plate and just... left. No offer of coffee or the bill, no eye contact, nothing. Thankfully my lovely server from earlier spotted me and came to the rescue so I could settle up and go.

So you want to know what do crossaint people eat on a daily basis? While here it is! Côte is where you’ll find it!!! Côte York offers two menus, Ala carte and the Fixe menu. Tonight I chose the Fixe menu. The Fixe menu offers a starter, main and a dessert. For a solid £20.25. Which is a bundle, I’d say. For starters I order the Moules (Mussels), it is served in a bowl of light tomato chilli broth which pairs excellently. Albeit, my camaraderies and myself have uncover that there were several overcooked and undercooked mussels. Next was the mains, I ordered the frugal grilled chicken. Cooked to excellence, juicy, tender and paired with a umami packed mushroom cream sauce. The arugula cuts the fattiness of the sauce which was a great addition to the dish. Lastly was the Blueberry clafoutis, it is paired with a ice cream and blueberry coulis. The coulis breaks down the sweetness of the clafoutis and the ice cream cools it right down to where it is warm. I enjoyed it. So if you want to have some fun with your taste buds, come to Côte where they serve a exquisite budget priced meal. 🍽️ 🇫🇷

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Cote with excellent gluten free choices, all labelled with the allergen flags. The restaurant was not too busy so the noise levels were good. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. Two of the mains were slightly overcooked but the others were perfect. Will be back.

Excellent service, dinner and atmosphere. Everything was very clean there, staff very friendly and helpful, and the dinner was very very delicious. Glutenfree menu is available as well, so that was awesome.
