I was first introduced to HomeInstead when we were looking for care for some elderly relatives. We looked at various companies offering private care, and selected HomeInstead because they offered the most practical and flexible service. A wonderful team of carers visited our relatives regularly and reliably, and provided a range of services tailored to their needs. Nothing was too much trouble! As they became more infirm, the service adapted. We were kept informed of any issues that arose, which was very reassuring. I was so impressed by the service HomeInstead offered our relatives, that I applied to work for them. I had very little previous experience of caring for older adults, but this was no barrier since the training and induction package they offer is comprehensive and very supportive. I have been with the company for seven months now. I love my job, and feel extremely proud to work for a company with such a caring and client-centred ethos. I work hours that suit me, in locations close to home, and have the satisfaction of knowing that I am making a difference not just to a client but to their whole family.

I am paraplegic and live at home with my wife. I have been receiving care from Home Instead York for more than three years. I have always found them to be professional, competent, caring and friendly. They have taken care in selecting my carers to match my needs and personality and have gone to great efforts to provide additional carers at short notice when my wife needed to be away. I am extremely satisfied with the service I receive both from the carers and the management team.
