A lovely park to wander through be it with your dog or just have a picnic. lovely little cafe in the park. tennis basket ball courts
Its so beautiful and calm place in the center of city of york. it is situaated near homes so it is a main placr for family walk and jogging. there is a kids area that contains lots of swings for kids.. so in this lockdown situation this is a best place for kids and adults outing and to get some fresh air.
Hull road park is on 25 acres, about 1 mile from york city centre. it has facilities such as tennis courts, basketball court, woodland walk and bike racks. it is open every day of the year and is not locked at night. it is a good place for ball games and picnics. a stream runs near by along a foot path.
Excellent playground and lovely park area, need to explore more without a 2 year old. he loved it, especially the little slide.
Often walk my dog here and during even light winds branches are falling from the old and unmanaged trees. on two occasions over the last 18 months ...three massive trees have fallen ! luckily nobody has been killed !! a tree survey and serious amount of management is required to make it safe. the beck is now an overgrown swamp and just a large mess...the kingfisher has left as has the egret as the water is not deep enough for them to fish....indeed the large amount of small fish that could be seen have disappeared and its difficult to spot the few that do remain in the odd pool. on a brighter note, the new orchard and fencing looks great and the little cafe is a good meeting point for locals.
