Pizza Express

Popped in for lunch with my wife the place was deserted as you can see from my pictures the service was exceptionally slow the place was empty because it was the beginning of November. we had the Padanna pizza which is goat's cheese, sweet caramelized onions, spinach mozzarella tomato and garlic oil I also had a portion of chicken put on the top and it was delicious always love Pizza Express. I also had a great lemon drink in a can. Many thanks for your response. Shame everyone doesn't. Like PX in skipton

Excellent food. Service was really good. We have visited other Pizza Express Restaurants many times and this is by far the best as the food was cooked to perfection and we didn't have to wait too long between courses. Please also thank the waiter who served us. I forgot to mention how brilliant he was. He was so welcoming and my husband enjoyed talking about football with him! You deserve the 5 star review!

We adore going to Pizza Express, and anytime we visit a new city, we love to investigate where the nearest Pizza Express is purely because there is a standard that cannot be matched with the other pizza places I've been to. I don't know what it is, but each time I go to any Pizza Express, I'm always amazed by the kindness of the staff and how delicious everything is on the menu. I know I can try something new, and if Pizza Express has it on the menu it's for a good reason. We walked in after a busy day of exploring York and found it easy to get to through the directions of Google Maps. When entering in, we were greeted by a lovely waiter who took us through to the main dining area. This place was very charming, and I love buildings that have a lot of history in them as it feels a mix of history and dining; this particular pizza express looked like an old-fashioned mansion from once upon a time, and it was just wonderful to be able to see the little nooks and crannies of the place. I'm a gold member of Pizza Express, so I got to reap the benefits of free goodies; actually, at that time, I was a silver, not a gold, but it still provided me with free doughballs to start, which honestly, one portion is enough for two people if you have a main course too. I went for the lasagne, and how good this was was mindblowing. Bubbling away when it got served, I enjoyed this, and now it's a favourite of mine whenever I go to Pizza Express. I highly recommend it, and I could not fault this place.
